Hi folks,
Does anyone know whether the Dellorto DHLA 45P and D share the same body? They are both tri-jets with six pregression holes (and the cross head, rather than flat progression cover screw). I know they will be jetted and setup differently, really just need to know if it is the same body.
I did a search of the forum before posting, but the one piece I found containing info about the differences is wrong, as it says the 45D and P have 5 progression holes, when then actually have 6.

If yours is a 90SE then you will have tha later 'vacuum-based engine managemnt system' which requires 2 vacuum take offs per carb. The D apparently has only one vac take off per carb (I don't have a D (mine's an 89Se with P carbs) but I did a forum search to find that a member who had both D and P pass through his hands pointed out this difference).
The later vacuum engine management really works well so I wouldn't compromise the system with D carbs if it were my car.

Hi and a big thanks, you've helped me figure out something that was causing some head scratching!! I just assumed they were D's as this is all I have seen mentioned - just gone at the degreaser on the other carb and can clearly see it is a P, where I could not on the other.
