Hi, does anyone have a copy of the guide to tuning the Dellorto written by Tim Engel (Esprit2).
I normally access it from his website, but the link isn’t working -

Alan,
FYI, the Esprit Fact File,
http://www.espritfactfile.com is not MY site.. It's owned by an Esprit-guy, and I just contributed a few files to it.
I just now (Apr 19. 2024) tried that Esprit link (the one you posted above), and it worked... it took me to a downloadable copy of the file.
If you browse the rest of that Esprit site, you might find other 9XX engine info that could be helpful as well. It is an "Esprit" site, but anything engine related should apply to the Elite/Eclat/Excel as well.
On Jun 03, 2022, I shared a couple of links to two Balancing Carbs files previously posted on Lotus Grand Tourers:
Balancing Dellorto - 'The Lotus Grand Tourers' - by Tim Engel.pdf - 2003
https://tinyurl.com/bdhmukjy
Balancing Dellorto & Weber Carbs - Procedure - Tim Engel.pdf - 2022

Personally, I wouldn't bother with the 2003, unless you just like to read. It's not wrong, it's just older.
I do have file storage in the cloud, at GoogleDrive. You can download a copy of the 2022 file from there as well.
Either...

Or...

Both get you there.
Finally, some time ago, I ran across a couple of Dellorto factory jetting set-up manuals:
Manuale Regolazioni Dellorto - Sept 22, 1986, and...
Manuale Regolazioni Dellorto - March 17, 1982
I typed/ transcribed all of that into an Excel file, using the Dellorto manual's format. Then I added data from Lotus manual Sections TDA & TDB, and from other Lotus vendor sites. The end result is here:

Now you can't claim you don't know what was in your carbs when they left the Dellorto factory.
Regards,
Tim Engel
