Camshafts

Post by Cliffords »

Good way through the rebuild now of my 2.2 LC engine and have cleaned up the Cams and had a good look at them .
They are both stamped 7 ?

I was expecting exhaust stamped 7 and inlet stamped 4 .

What do you think ? I did not hear the engine running before the strip down . Have I got two exhaust cams in one engine ?

Thanks

David

No, my Eclat 2.2 engine had 107 inlet and exhaust cams, I can't remember but I think that is standard for the 2.2 LC engine.

The "104" was introduced with the SE/SA (on the inlet) - the Excel had 2 x "107"s before that. I've got an L14 if you want to bring it up to SE spec :D
