Yes - very sad indeed. I knew he'd been very ill. Always enjoyed the times I spoke to him.

Not had the opportunity to speak with him, but very sad news.

2021 can't come quick enough.

Very sad news. Coming back to the wedge clan in only the last year meant I never met him - a lasting regret.

Yes it is very sad news. He declined rapidly this week and passed away at 7.10 this morning. I was awaiting his family’s OK before breaking the news here but clearly it’s already in circulation.

I’d like to suggest we put together a book of remembrance from the owners. If you could post or pm your words together with your real name, then I’ll make sure it gets to his family.

Thanks, Richard

Very sad to hear this. On the occasions I've met him he was always very personable and happy to chat, with so many stories (many of them humorous...) of life at Lotus. RIP Oliver.

A great fella. Ive also owned an S1 TVR tasmin so we had a good chat about both cars, a very nice guy. If Covid wasnt an issue we could have travelled to his funeral and given him a 'sound off' exhaust blast as he went past on his last drive, I bet he would have liked that.

I had a similar thought - the route lined with Lotus.

It is sad to hear that he died.

I just bought his book "A Life in Car Design - Jaguar, Lotus, TVR" very interesting stories with some humor.
Pitty I have never met him...
