I Don't know if you have seen a TV drama series Howard's Way, but there is a brown late Lotus Excel SE being driven by the character Jan Howard. It appears mostly in Series 5. Worth a look.

There was also an early prevented bonnet RYM806Y in one of the early episodes - red with gunmetal bumpers. Also a Lotus Cortina TPN15.
