I've got a copy of Car magazine from 1986 where they also show the two test Excels - and the red one is definitely Calypso Red. Nice to see the video though, they must have been going some to spin the white Excel like that.

I thought you did very well in your efforts to keep up with the red car Angus. You might have washed the car knowing you were being filmed though.

For some reason I clearly remember buying that issue of Car new in WH Smiths. I'll still have it stashed somewhere. Strange how certain things stick in your mind.
