Electric Door Mirror Switch

Post by RED BARON »

I am looking for a Electric Door Mirror Switch for my 1990 Excel the Part No. A082M6503F as the PCB in mine has failed. It's the type with the rectangle rocker at the top for left or right side and the square one below for up or down and in or out.

I am willing to pay fair money for a working part.

Many Thanks.
Ian.

Tried lots of places even an old work mate that has a contact at Lotus, and was told they stopped making these type of switches in 2014.

That was why I did't try SJ but was trying all the scrap yards.

But lone behold a phone call to SJ and found he does have then in stock, so payed the £60 all in and ordered one and await delivery.

Hi.
Just thought I would inform that I received my new Mirror Switch from SJ this morning, tested it in the car and works fine. I have also reattached the Mirror Glass with double sided tape as they were a bit loose with age.

I am at pressent reinforcing the door card holes in the doors as they have gone a bit over size then I will fit the new Switch completely, and then cards.

Finally I wll keep the old Switch, why I don't know but will as I was asked to.

Ian.

BecauSE they are Unicorn poo and although not my style, I would like an old one (if I may) to research a replacement based on size and fittings. Having a correct old one makes the job easier.

I've identified several candidates and have a couple of good spares in my secret stash...

The real value in old ones lies in the little copper dumbbells that go missing when they split open.
