Rear Spats/mudflaps

Post by Alan_M »

I’m looking for a pair of rear spats for an S.E.

My left one parted ways with the car sometime on my drive to see Ollie W at the Avon meeting! The right is not in great condition, so would like to replace both with good ones. Anyone got any?

They were introduced to slow the car down, so I'm told.

More speed less weight :)

There is that way of looking at it. I believe they were used to reduce top speed and cool the diff. But I quite like the look of them.

Maybe it was trying the regress back to being an Eclat... Mr Winterbottom would have been proud!

Great talk by Ollie, btw, the third time I've seen him and still more fascinating stories. Good to catch up with Richard W too.
