Re: Front exhaust downpipes
To fit possibly - not sure how much modification it would need for the Elite chassis/auto gearbox combo. I may end up making my own from scratch.
Shame you're so far away Neil! What would your estimate of postage to the UK be?

Hi Pete,
Sorry - I think my memory of things is not what I think it is!
This is what I got with the car - this section of the exhaust to the back:
Looking at what you're doing I'm sure you could make up something suitable anyway
Neil

Re: Front exhaust downpipes
Neil, I see you have twin oil radiators, and two fans.
Have you installed the second radiator and why did you add this? Is there a noticeable lowering of oil temperature?
Dave the cog.

Re: Front exhaust downpipes
SA's have an engine oil cooler and a gearbox oil cooler as standard (smaller one is for the gearbox).

Re: Front exhaust downpipes
Is this what you’re after Pete? I acquired them as part of my (stalled) project to revert to a standard exhaust and manifold. I’m pretty sure they came off an SE. You’re welcome to borrow them to use as a pattern.
Cheers, Richard

Re: Front exhaust downpipes
Pete - I have that same section from my car as per Richard's picture - I can also get measurements/dimensions off it if it helps you.
Dave - as Pete said - it came standard like that as I received the car - without an engine, and I have never driven it, so have no idea how much difference it would have made!
The brackets that are holding on the transmission cooler in place in my picture are not necessarily standard - they looked home made (and poorly home made) to me. Probably a victim of the various accidents the car suffered through.
Neil.

Re: Front exhaust downpipes
Thanks guys! Yes - it's the part in your photo I'm after Richard; Stu has one I can borrow from an SA - which will be perfect to see how close to the auto 'box it runs normally, but it would be great to see how much difference there is between the SE & SA versions. Are you going to the NEC Richard?

Re: Front exhaust downpipes
Cheers Richard! Do you have a cast manifold yourself (stalled project)?
