First 3D printed prototypes to replace the redundant door ashtrays.

3 pieces, so the 'grille' bit can be easily customised, and the internal part can be modified to suit different tweeters.
I've already spotted some room for improvement . . . . . . Mk2 on it's way!

Love stuff like this. Well done.

How about using the Old ashtray flip out cup as a phone holder with a connection base to either be a charger point or aux in connection feed to the radio?

I know there's bluetooth but my Nokia 3210 isnt compatable :?

It's quite a big hole ( ) and space!

Open to practical ideas of what it can be used for.

An integrated LED for 'mood lighting' is a possibility.

I was thinking of upgrading the head unit to something more modern, but decided to stick with ne nice old 'period' Pioneer KE-4300 it came with:

A discrete amp/USB/bluetooth unit will update it nicely!

The tweeter housing is an excellent idea! Much better height for those frequencies.

Keep the ashtrays. They’re cool and increasingly rare!

I keep everything!
All the broken bits that have been replaced over the years are still in my shed!

Except the original exhaust, I just swept that up :)
