One of my mums neighbours spoke to me today, apparently he has seen my car loads of times but hadnt seen me, he wanted to tell me a story relating to the car, apparently, many years ago, probably when the Excel was current, he went on a corperate track day at brands hatch, where he was given some instruction and then let loose in a single seater for a few laps. The highlight at the end of the day was being a passenger with a professional driver. He went out 4 up in an Excel where the driver was apparently driving at over 100 mph with one hand on the wheel turning around and talking to the passengers at the same time, the driver being Johnny Herbert ! Needless to say I was a bit well jell. He didnt have any photo's but he said that seeing my car reminded him of the day everytime he see's it.
