Hi All,
For the 89 model/year Excels, Lotus apparently changed the suspension geometry. Would anyone have any information regarding the changes?
I'm specifically interested to know the changes to the front toe-in and caster, along with rear toe-in.
I have a full workshop manual, given to me by the previous owner, but helpfully the pages relating to the geometry are missing.
Many thanks.

Re: Revised Suspension Geometry
ISTR that it was only the camber at the front that was changed - the last of the upper arms produced have 89MY stamped on them, but I don't think I have any to compare with the earlier ones, but I'll have a look.

Ahh- thanks very much Pete, Stu. It all makes sense now.
I'll use those figures in Stu's reply. Cheers, Martin.

Re: Revised Suspension Geometry
Wasn't this also the year that the rear toe could be adjusted from side to side, by means of the adjustable -position bottom saddle? It didn't alter the overall toe but did allow it to be made even.

Re: Revised Suspension Geometry
Not sure when the adjustable rear tow was introduced but it was on my '88 ('89MY) car. It worked pretty well.
