Very likely is the last Elite made. Graham Robson (The Third Generation Lotuses) says the last Elite was produced in Jan 1983 with the chassis no. 1757.

Has a Riviera bonnet too (but not the roof.)

Nice project for someone who knows what they're doing!

Thanks for spotting this, Richard

Looks like a fantastic project. I wish I had the space but with an Esprit and an Elite awaiting serious attention, it's not going to happen. :)

Up to £2,762 now with just under 2 days to go. Ad also now mentions that it's the last Elite off the line. One for Tony to have, I think, an early Elite and the last Elite.

Hi All,

When he first listed the Elite S2.2 on eBay I mentioned it may be the last Elite - but subsequently re discovered Elite A480 JVF which surely must be the last S2.2 ?

Best wishes all.

If I had the space to store, I must say I'd be tempted. But I don't, and I think I have enough on my plate in any case.
Whats going on at the moment, Fleebay seems full of wedge restoration projects at the moment. I must have seen at least 4 in the last week or two.

Anyone for a white Auto Eclat?

Same here, Tony. I would like a S2.2 Elite but there aren't many about let alone for sale. I have a few jobs outstanding on the Excel and don't have the time for another car to work on especially one that needs that much work. Still at £2,762 with less that 20 minutes remaining. Ebay says all bids are from private bidders with their identities protected.
What car is that?

Gone for £2830, but I don't know what the private bidder bit is all about.
Never seen that before.

That went for a bargain price then !

When are people gonna wake up and realise how important the Lotus Elite is as a car.

I can remember when the Lamborghini Espada was difficult to sell as a used car. Now look at the interest and values there.

I put the Elite ( especially the S2.2 ) in the same category.

Best regards,

DC. :D
