When the limited production run of these was done a few years ago I wasnt quick enough to get one before they sold out. Ive been looking 'ont net' for a couple of years now with no luck. I know that this is a long shot, but, has anyone got one that they would be willing to sell me.

Good luck. I’ve been looking for 2 years and not found one yet.

1000 X £50 = they shot themselves in the foot.

Makes you wonder how they covered the first batch! :?

Same here, been looking out for one of these for ages. Having invested in the tooling you'd think Spark would want to get more back from their investment, but I can't see a wholesaler wanting to commit to 1000 units for their retail customers, especially in the current climate. I'm sticking with my 1:1 scale model for now, and fingers crossed for an eBay find one day when someone's clearing out their model collection!

Cheers John

It crossed my mind that with Oliver W's untimely passing, awareness and interest in the 4 seat wedges is probably at it's highest for many years. Maybe Spark could be persuaded to release "Oliver Winterbottom Memorial Edition" models of the 3 cars, and reaching the 1000 model figure that way - i.e. 333.3 of each - (which does seem crazily high when they release 300 model limited editions of other cars).

Funny how model fabrications will be passing actual build numbers.

Could an organised stream of enquiries by email to Spark trigger them to consider a re-run?

I like the idea of the Winterbottom Edition

Excellent idea! I've submitted an email via Spark's website:

https://www.sparkmodel.com/en/contact

I think the key to this will be if enough people show an interest...

I'll come along for the ride, but I'll wait until the New Year before emailing them - Just to keep it on their radar.

Good idea this one, I'll mail them as well in January.

Out of interest, did you just say "Please do a rerun of the S2219 Lotus Excel model" or how did you phrase it?
