On an extensive oil change including removing and flushing the oil cooler, puchasing the correct filter with non-return valve, I decided to replace the Oil Pressure Relief Valve Spring (A907E1323F at SJS)
But I believe this is not for a relief valve as we do not have one, it merely maintains the distributor spindle firmly located.
Is this correct?

Re: Oil pressure relief Valve
Not quite - there is definitely an over-pressure relief valve and spring. It is situated within the oil pump housing (that also locates the distributor and its spring). This is what the assembly looks like:

Many thanks Pete, I will dig deeper. I seem to remember now that there is a cap in the housing under which will be the valve.
The Manual does not show the valve.
