Lotus Excels in USA - how many?

Do we have any idea of how many Excel's are in the US? It would be interesting to know. While in the Navy many years ago I brought one in with me when I transferred back to the US.

I've heard numbers anywhere between 10 and 20. I wouldn't be surprised if there are a few more than that.
I have an '85 Calypso Red in CT. Wes Fredericks has an (I believe) '88 Vulcan Grey also in CT. There was another blue car that sold out of CT a few years back.
There is the blue LHD car that sold through Gateway that belongs to a member here.
Three other Excels have sold on BAT, aside from mine. The silver one out of Philly most recently was headed to Milwaukee. The green one out west and a black one with a supercharged V8!

There are least a couple more that are on here, and a one or two others that are on Lotus Talk- maybe the same ones?

I have the silver Swedish delivery LHD Excel SE that I purchased on Bring a Trailer last November. Hoping that one day in the future, the salt will be washed from our roads and I can finally drive it!

That's the original Uk number plate. You can still look it up on the gov.uk website. It was imported to the US in 2010.

Most US states only require a rear plate. You can stick anything on the front

My 88 Excel SE is now currently on the boat headed to the USA. White/Black leather. I had one 33 years ago when living in England when I was in the Navy. I purchased it from Lotus at the factory. We are really looking forward to getting another one.
