Adding photos

Post by Will49 »

I have looked at the video for embeding photos from OneDrive but my one drive is nothing like on the video as when i locate a photo I want to embed there is no link to do this.
Is there some other way to do this as its very frustrating as a picture is so much better than words sometimes.

Upload photo to OneDrive
Along the banner on the top with buttons; Edit, Share, Copy link, etc... click on the 'More' button shown as '...'
Click < / > Embed
A window will open on RH side of page
Click Blue button 'Generate'
There will be a drop down menu for 'Image Size', this will determine how big the photo is shown on the forum here, 'Medium (660px)' is my usual, unless the detail is needed.
Copy the URL shown below in the textbox
Go to you post/reply in the forum
Click the button that looks like a picture above the main text box
[ img ] [ / img ] this will appear (with no spaces)
paste the url in-between the bracketed text with no spaces
Click Preview and the image will show

1989 Peugeot 205 1.1 Look
1991 Peugeot 205 1.6 GTI
1992 Lotus Excel SE

Did you highlight a "single" image to embedded? Multiple selections won't work.

The embed and generate buttons will not appear until only one is selected.

You need to be logged in via a web page NOT on an app on a phone, iPad etc.
ie go to Onedrive via Microsoft edge, chrome, safari etc.
it will then be as the video.

Also if you right click when the "hand" is over a photo you will get the drop down menu that includes "embed".

This is what I found too. Annoyed that MSoft omitted the embed tool from their app! But yes it's there when using a browser.
