Anyone know much about this little lot? Any idea what it would take to get it working?

look on the esprit forum, somebody else ( Hilly) has done this some time ago. hilly is the guy who has fitted an Audi V8 into the rear of his Esprit now.

the price means il have to wate some time before i can afford this thou. so having said all this the price looks tempting .good luck on bidding:D

The benefits over a well maintained Dellorto system isn't worth the money IMHO (max power the same as EFI). And personally if I was struggling to set up a pair of OEM carbs to remove flat spots etc, then I'd question my ability to set up EFI without going through a lot of traumatic development work not knowing the long-term damage done to the engine through sub-optimal DIY ignition/fuel mapping.

I'd rather spend less money (in total) fitting a tubular extractor exhaust manifold with a Wideband O2 sensor /data logger/A/F gauge - which you need anyway to set up EFI properly - otherwise add rolling road costs - then you can keep a constant eye on combustion efficiency making it an easier DIY prospect to keep your Dellortos in tune.

It would help if SS tubular extractor mainifolds were readily available mind you, and you need about £ 230 to buy a wideband data logging system (you'd never regret buying a Wideband system though and you can just fit the sensor boss to the existing downpipe). I use an on board Dynojet Wideband Commander on my Clan to set up my Dellortos, but there are other cheaper, more flexible systems like those from TechEdge or Innovate.
As a bonus you can extract 0-60 times from the logger trace and see how your slow gear changes affect progress....now come to think about it, a sequential gear changing system might bring more benefits to real world performance than EFI. :|

agreed, anyone know of a nice cheap way of doing this without spending 15K + on a quaif box?

At the Lotus Factory open day the topic of a sequential box was discussed (wrt the 2-eleven, I think). Anyway, the Lotus engineer had very strong views about a sequential box, in that it is great when changing up, but changing down is usually a bad experience as you get jerked forward with every down change.
So, great for track use, but you really don't want this on a road car.

The bigger issue is... imagine the scene if you will, your travailing at or around the speed limit on a hoon down a country lane, lets say in 5th... (maybe 6th, dependant on budget) and out of a hedgerow jumps a suicidal pheasant… oh F*!?... on the brakes, de-clutch, and stop in plenty of time, good old 6-pots!... said pheasant looks at you with some distain and continues across the road on his merry way… you go to pull off once more after checking the condition of underwear… hummn… your still in 5th (or 6Th depending on budget) at best you might get one gear down if the syncro’s are in line… but unless there’s a V8 fitted or you are pointing down a hill your stuck! Stall it, crank it on the starter, all of a sudden this 5k gearbox isn’t as fun as you first thought… oh and it needs rebuilding every 1000 miles to keep that one year warrantee!...
