Re: Help choose a colour for an Eclat
Having seen David's car in the flesh, white definitely suits the Excel. I think it looks even better in an Éclat with the extra contrast of the black pieces but then again that opinion is coming from someone who has just painted his Excel a non standard Suzuki yellow with Ford Panther Black bumpers and trim

You shamed me into doing a little work on the Clan this morning ...the sun was shining and the garage relatively warm just right for painting the front wishbones and steering mounting ready to receive the refurbed rack maybe on Saturday (if the Sun shines).
The Excel sat next to the Clan looking smug 'cos he thinks he doesn't need any work....apart from new rear tyres.
I'm sort of hoping Simpatico has ignored my (and others) choice of white and gone for the original green ... only because the argument for originality has merit ... and not because I like the green.

Changed my mind about originality! They look so good in WHITE (with black bumpers and bonnet vents of course)!
You'll soon forget it wuz green (just get the paint code changed to suit ) ...

Re: Help choose a colour for an Eclat
The fact you saved it and nobody else did ....... Gives you saviour rights. I.e your choice is the only one that counts - everybody else can jog on.
If they wanted to save it and paint it, they should have bought it.
An argument I have won many times before and am still winning.
You paid for it, so therefore your choice is the winning vote BUT please stop procrastinating and tell us what you have chosen?!

BMW alpine white. A lot of modern whites are so bright they belong on a domestic appliance IMHO, whereas this one is a bit calmer.

Re: Help choose a colour for an Eclat
Can confirm the white paint job appears superb, only a couple of tiny niggles to trouble an annoying perfectionist like myself.
I am now chewing my nails whilst it's in the hands of the MOT station, those damn idle jets gummed up again. All the mechanics came out to see what the wonderful noise was when it was revved up. You don't get that with a GTi.
Trim on, stripes on, then do the headlining at leisure when the weather warms up a bit...
