Not used the Excel this year because I've spent a lot of time on the Clan rebuilding the engine twice, having been sold defective main bearings the first time around (they delaminated within 500 miles!).
Excel will be used next year, but I'm posting less as there's not much (I need) to do on the Excel atm. Also, I think some of the technical posts which took a lot of effort and thinking time that I made years ago somehow got lost, so that blunted the enthusiasm to share changes made to my Excel.
I used to post reams on the Imp Club forum too (about Clan mods and engine tuning). Many got lost there too. And now the Imp Club forum has closed due to lack of use (now Facebook only).
Still lurking, but not posting much.

And thank God you are still around. Sensible and and fully grounded, as always! Cheers.

Re: Numbers
Ah!, that's just the superficial you.
Deep down in your core, I think you're gonna be sensible and grounded... your many clever technical posts on this forum give you away!
But, yeah, I should get out more and meet people on here.

Re: Numbers
Another issue that may be dissuading people, particularly new joiners - it seems that often when people try and sign up their email is rejected, presumably by the anti-spam system. Most people will likely just give up at that stage rather than persevere and try to contact an admin.
After my prompt for calendar photos two people separately said they had problems signing up.
If people have problems joining, it’s no wonder we are dwindling.

Yes, I bought a Chrysler Conquest TSI (Mitsubishi Starion ESI captive import) some years ago and tried to sign up on the Starquest forum. You had to answer a question "Where was the car made?" Presumably that was to discourage spammers and confuse bots. But that could be answered in many different ways, whether its just plain Japan or maybe they wanted the City of Okazaki or Aichi Prefecture or the Nagoya Plant or possibly some combination. I never got any kind of response out of it. Read through lots of posts and finally identified one of the moderators email address, but never got a response that way either. I eventually gave up.rbgosling wrote: Wed Sep 03, 2025 20:34 Another issue that may be dissuading people, particularly new joiners - it seems that often when people try and sign up their email is rejected, presumably by the anti-spam system.
