NEC Restoration Show - 20-22 March 2025 TICKET DISCOUNT

Post by rbgosling »

Yes, it's come round to that time again! Tickets are on sale for the Restoration Show at the Birmingham NEC on 20-22 March, and as usual, as an exhibiting club, we can offer a useful discount on tickets

DISCOUNT CODE: CCLOTGTM6

The Lotus Grand Tourers will be the main representatives for Lotus at the show (the Sunbeam Lotus's will be adjacent to us, but their stand is half the size and they are half-Talbot ;) ). We already have a nice brown Elite coming, belonging to a lovely gent who met us on the stand last year, and of course my Excel will be subject to some over-ambitious (but as yet undecided) repair work over the course of the weekend. I've got a couple of other great ideas, but I'll give away nothing until they are more definite... After all the attention we got last year with the ex-factory press car, then V8 development mule, then rotting-in-a-hedge Elite we've got a lot to live up to!

And of course, beyond the main attraction of our own stand :D , there are three halls full of cars being restored, worked on, or in various stages of disassembly on every stand, from the often-beyond-rescue Barn Finds display to some exquisitely restored cars. Practical Classics magazine are always actively working on (at least) one of their cars live through the show, usually with some absurdly ambitious target for completion by the end of Sunday. There'll be the live stage with various celebrity appearances, and the Sporting Bears offering rides in a variety of great cars (their Chairman is one of our own, Alan Moss, although I don't know if any of us would need to pay for a ride in his Excel!).
