Castle Combe Club Lotus Track day Saturday 23 May 2026

Post by phoenix »

It’s that time of year again. The Club Lotus Track day which is being held on Saturday 23rd May 2026. It’s usually on the Saturday of the third weekend in May every year.
Last year I counted 20 elite/éclat/excels plus several esprits. There has been a good turnout of 900 engine series wedges in recent years so let’s keep the momentum up. We normally congregate on the lawn to the south of the parking area by the north side fence of the track. My advice is to get there early like around 9:00 as things usually start to fizzle out early as people normally start heading home from 4:00pm.
There’s track racing, an auto jumble, lots of owners cars to admire and likeminded (weird and wonderful) folk to have a good natter with.
Put it in the diary, get your car tarted up and be there. You have just over three weeks to comply…

Great picture Marcus. One for the calendar Tanz.
Unfortunately I'll be missing this event (first time in probably 5 years).
Lotus in the peak next. Can't wait.

All geared for this weekend and stopping locally too for the long weekend. I am also booked in on the track so hopefully no Thrills and Spills from last year and engine running well after a tune-up on the Dyno!
Looking forward too catch up with you all on Saturday.

All set to be there.
Also staying fairly local.

Sounds like wallet might take a bashing🫣

I used a chap who I have used before local to me for £250 which I thought was reasonable for dyno work inc carb balance, clear a blocked jet and small Advance adjustment to get the power up. Certainly drives better with great low down torque with a extra kick from 4500rpm upwards. Interestingly the chap have just bough a Esprit with the 912 HC engine although turbo charged.
See you soon
