Just been talking to my local dealer about this in an attempt to make an order.... they grumbled a bit.....
There has been problems where the dealers are utterly unaware that GroupLotus have done this, and all of a sudden parts for old cars start turning up at the dealers and they have no clue about it, or what to do with them.
They already had received one phone call chasing an order of which they knew nothing about, which they felt it showed them in poor light without it being their fault.
The guys I spoke to where very helpful, but did say that they won't do this for nothing, and will get back to me tomorrow on their angle on it. They guestimated that 10% would be added to the web listed prices when I went to collect and pay for them. Just to stress, they are eager to help, but not for free. I will report back what they tell me tomorrow.

From a business perspective it is hard on a dealer who has got parts in stock supplied to them at the original price. Those dealers and specialists who have kept up stocks of parts for older cars might have a case for feeling a bit miffed.

I think X180 NA would refer to a normally aspirated Stevens Esprit. So it probably would be different to the Excel box. It might fit to the backplate, but the position of the inlet would probably be different.Ozzy_UK wrote:can anyone confirm for me that Part A912E2352K - Airbox Cover-x180 NA is the bit which clips to the back plate on the excel air box?

Bloomin' typical - nothing there that I actually *need* (at the moment) - new chassis for £650
Maybe I could bring it home on the roof as a spare ?
