Apologies for previous short incomplete message but wanted to check if forum would accept before I typed the lot!
Anyway details are-
Bought in July 2000. Met silver frost with blue half leather. Perfect interior with new headlining, blue carpets and £600 worth of fitted sheepskin covers. Have owned lotus models since 1974 and know what I'm doing so I don't "tinker" and my cars all work properly.
This car is pretty much as it left the factory (who confirmed the build details) apart from fitted galv door beams modified with grease nipples, a Cat 1 laserline immobiliser/alarm, extra deadlocks to both doors plus an in-line hydraulic brake immobiliser as extra security. Both door frames have been dipped, stripped and repainted. front brakes have been overhauled- discs, hoses, caliper seals etc. PNM supplied water pump fitted about 2 years ago. Carbs stripped and rebuilt, new amplifier and dizzy pick up fitted. Full stainless exhaust. perfect interior. Some seat belt anchorages galvanised. Uprated cooling fans fitted with manual control and rad recored about 3 years ago. New tyres all round.
Chassis waxoiled twice during my ownership. 12 months tax and MoT. Comes with some pretty useful spares inc as new steering column switch assembly, 2 spare overhauled door frames requiring a part repaint, various tinted door glasses, factory manual and rear brake overhaul kits inc new pistons.
Used for a few years as regular daily transport. Total mileage 62k.
I've seen quite a few for sale and this is one of the better ones that has been carefully looked after and never crunched so not really prepared to haggle much over the price since I don't really need to sell and if it doesn't go I'll just keep using it. Price is £6500 or £250 less without the spares. Prefer to sell to similar like-minded enthusiast.
