Rear light unit removal

Can anyone tell me how to remove the rear light units, got some new ones but not sure how the old ones come away - Thanks Doulou

According to the service notes - first, remove the bumper :roll: :cry:

Which involves unbolting and unriveting the whole rear bumper assembly.

The good news is that removing the rear bumper is easier than the front.

Truely the rear bumper is not that bad, but the front is a b*rst*rd.

Just remember, if you're using "Rover" lights, you should drill new drain holes on the new lower faces and block off the old drain holes that are now on the top. If you don't do this, every time you wash the car you'll notice 15mm of water in the bottom of the lights -- but it doesn't seem to hurt them. DAMHIKIJKOK.

Thanks fella's - heard some where about using plastic clips rather than rivets when re-fitting the bumper has anyone done this?

Just found this thread which answers the problem of why my new rear lights (fitted by the PO) have filled up with water.

Once again thanks to those that bothered to post this.

Downside is - that bumpers gotta come off again - but needs repainting anyway, so much fun
