In anticipation of the insurance problem being solved, this thread has been created. If you are going to attend the show please answer the following questions :

a) Do you need accommodation for Friday/Saturday/Sunday night ?
(for how many and what sort of rooms)
b) Can you help with stand setup on Saturday or Sunday if necessary ?
c) Would you like your car to be one of our 2 display vehicles and entrants in the concours competition ?
d) Is there anything special about your car (history, spec. etc.) which would make it suitable to be suggested as an additional display vehicle ?
e) Ideas for a theme for our display ?

Answers please by Friday 25th April at the latest.

Will be there.
a) Two single rooms please for Saturday (me and Dan).
b) Can help set up Sat/Sun as last year.
c) Happy for car to be displayed again but also happy to give someone else a chance.
d) It is a "Celebration" model unmodified.
e) Could we pick up the grand tourer theme? Perhaps we could build on MK's connection with the car, last car signed off by ACBC, ....??

Single room for the saturday night please. Can help with set up on Saturday, but can't offer the car as a stand car since I can't garranty how long I will be able to hang around on the Sunday.

c) Car will be with me but don’t feel it a display car
d) Non se wide body
e) Can bring projector, laptop and 3g card (for possible live access to forum subject to signal). I have 84, 85, 86 Excel brochures so far and hope to gain a few more by then. Will ask Shannon for ideas on a theme

b) I guess I am about 4 hours away so if I get there in time I will be happy to help. What time would I have to be there to help with set up?
c) Not sure if its up to display standard but if we are stuck, it would be OK so long as I can drive it home on Sunday night.

e) Can't think of anything but will give it some thought.

a) we have friends nearby so will probably stay with them;
b) can get there early Saturday or Sunday if required;
c) car can be used on stand if required but there are plenty in better condition than mine;
d) car is standard;
e) the MK connection might be good - Kimbers informs me that Mike led the engineering design team that picked up the Don award for the Excel, in fact he currently has a draft of a revised poster for MK's comment.

e) "Ashes to ashes" ? 1982 was the year that saw mobile phones, CD players, the ZX Spectrum and a whole host of other classic '80s stuff hit the streets...including the Excel. We could a load of old techno-toys together and do something around that ? Including classic '80s music ?

I'm in Camridge, so not too far away for me. Can come both days!

b) Can you help with stand setup on Saturday or Sunday if necessary ?

With only 18500 miles on the clock, other than a couple of stone chips its a minter. So Yes, I would like to display.

d) Is there anything special about your car (history, spec. etc.) which would make it suitable to be suggested as an additional display vehicle ?
It has full history including original bill of sale. The spare wheel / tyre has never been used or has the jack. All the original keys are present.

I have just had a quick look on the Premier Inn site @ the Norfolk show ground.
I stayed there last year it’s about 15 minutes to the factory. £58 per room + breakfast if wanted has a Brewers fayre next door for food.
