mirror tip

Post by bash »

Bit of a tip really. My offside mirror, the rubber thro glass type, was jer, jer, jiggling about abit. I cured it by taking the mirror off so that I didnt strain the glass and smash it, and eased the rubber off the hinge. The mirror hinge is a tension pin and it had worked its way upwards slightly so that it was only working fully on the upper part of the hinge, so I tapped it back with a vernier adjusting tool ( hammer ) and cured the jiggle. Make sure that the rubber is very warm and pliable tho or I could see it splitting and use plenty of silicon spray inside to help the rubber slide ( oh err missis ! )
