Hi Matt
If you've followed the postings you'll see I've had my car up for sale at various times for about 18 months or so- defintely a limited market- even though some have commented I've asked too much. Don't agree I'm afraid. Bitter experience has taught me that paying top price- (if the condition warrants it obviously) is probably cheaper in the long run. I've had this nearly 11 years. Bought at 42k now on 65k. Silver, 89 model but not SE (as confirmed by the factory). Basically, every "difficult" job I've done- galv door beams/pins/bushes, chemically stripped door frames and rtepainted them, front brakes all new, recarpeted, re-headlined, new rad/water pump, cambelt 18 months ago, uprated rad fans, new wiper motor, overhauled heater motor (I've repaired the speed settings),new stainless downpipe, apart from manifold rest of system is stainless, complete new ignition system, Cat 1 immobiliser plus deadlocks to both doors, two new door mirrors plus control switch, overhauled carbs. Interior is original and pretty much mint apart from one small mark on the rear seat backing that came with the car. No scuff marks/splits etc of any kind. Colour is Silver Fox- not concours but accurately described as really excellent. Everything works as it should- never had any real problems with it- apart from an annoying tendency to suddently cut out- tracked down to the Lucas ignition system. No leaks into the car and no oil leaks of any kind.
Why selling?. Don't want 3 cars, don't use a car a lot anyway. If I need any "adrenaline stirred I've an elan I've had for 33 years. If interested contact either on
