I have a 1980 (X reg) Lotus Eclat S2.2 for sale in Altair Green. I’ve owned this car for the last 19 years and it is currently sat in my garage (stripped of paint) awaiting restoration. I had always anticipated restoring this car to its former glory but various factors are conspiring against me.
Despite missing a little (well virtually all of its
paint this is an exceptionally fine example – everything is as originally fitted – nothing is missing. It even has the original Lotus radio and the LED digital clock still works. There are lots of spare parts and a mixture of old and new aluminium external/internal trim. The interior is virtually as new (even after 30 years) – as it’s made from some form of 1980’s indestructible black hessian material (with black and white inlayed checks on certain panels). This (very underrated) car would make a great restoration project or could be broken or used for spares (although it really is too good for that). I would prefer it to go to a good home if possible.
The car hasn’t been run in a while so I anticipate the engine will need attention. Having said that there was nothing wrong with it prior to it been taken off the road. A transporter will therefore be required if you’re interested in the vehicle.
