FREE - well very nearly, 99p start and I will sell it at that!!!!!!
Chassis is undamaged and body is bare apart from rear screen and rear side windows which are also thrown in for free.
Needs to be picked up urgently on a trailer from Enfield North London as I need the space on my driveway, perfectly legit, I have the V5 and plates in my name, ID could be available by separate negotiation.
Not often you get something for nothing, Lotusbits sell the SE chassis at £400 + vat = £480, plus body sections at over £50.
As is human nature people will always look a gift horse in the mouth, if no-one wants it then it gets taken away by the local scrapper by next week, so if you are interested get in touch, David 07908185755.

I am not going to question your comment, I know of other forums where IDs are sold openly, Passionford for example, whether or not it is legal I wouldn't say for certain, but then again if something is sold with the correct chassis and body and is in my name then how on earth is that illegal?amarshall wrote:Not legally it can't.LotusElan17 wrote: I have the V5 and plates in my name, ID could be available by separate negotiation.
Nevertheless if there is some aspect of legality I am missing then fair enough, discount my offer of the ID it is no longer for sale, happy? I am still giving away a free chassis if anyone is interested.

DVLA & VOSA rules (and the law) on vehicle identities are very clear. They are associated with the chassis + other components. If those are not present, the vehicle should be declared scrapped, the identity should not be sold/given away/transferred to anyone else by any means as it can be used to "ring" stolen or crash-damaged vehicles.
You are perfectly within your rights (and legally correct) to supply the V5 & VIN plate with the chassis, but NOT to offer it as a separate item.
This leaflet : http://www.direct.gov.uk/prod_consum_dg ... 180218.pdf explains the rules & law as it pertains to kit cars, restored vehicles etc.
As for what happens on other fora - that's their problem. Several members of this forum have more than a "loose" connection to law enforcement.

Thanks for that, so in summary I am entitled to sell the ID with the chassis and body but not without, so that is what I will do.amarshall wrote:DVLA & VOSA rules (and the law) on vehicle identities are very clear.
