I would also like to stress that I am totally honest in the description. I don't want to waste your time or cause dissappointment when you come to view the car. As such, the description is long and concise.
The only reason I am selling is due to a house purchase and the fact I am far too busy, with work, to even look at the car.

'86 Lotus Excel with Lumenition fuel injection and Jenvey throttle bodies.
86,000 miles from new.
It is a factory LC, but has been upgraded to total HC spec by QED. Receipts for almost £6,000 shows the work carried out.
Finished in the very rare P02 pearl white colour.
Mot'd until May.
3 Owners from new.
Dr titled Owner from 1988-2011, Initially this was his company car, he then purchased it and registered it in his name, so technically he was only the 2nd owner.
The car has a seriously huge, continous, service file which you can see in the pictures and has been maintained regardless of expense, with recalls done and the seatbelt plates at the rear being replaced.
Almost every MOT certificate from new.
Stunning, paintwork, having been garaged all its life.
The best original Interior I have ever seen on an excel. Leather is still supple, not worn or dirty in the slightest, fabric is excellent.
Engine is very strong, compression test showing at least 200 PSI+ on all 4 cylinders, was rebuilt at QED, as mentioned.
There are 4 wheels, which look as new, with the correctly sized Dunlop Sport SP9000 tyres on, which again, are as new.
Things that need attention.
(All excels in this price range will have some minor gripes, I am honest enough to mention them and not waste the time of prospective buyers).
1. Unfortunately, the car is not running at the moment and i believe this to be an electrical fault. A few months ago the car came to a standstill and wouldn't start due to no spark. It is an electrical fault and while it is probably an easy fix, I simply do not have time to work on the car, or have it trailered to a garage to be looked at. Please understand that this is not a ploy to hide a poor engine. The engine runs very sweet and is strong with excellent compression as mentioned.
2. It could do with a cambelt change.
3. The front calipers need refurbishing.
4. Due to a kerb scrape, the lower arm has bent ever so slightly.
5. It could do with a new steering rack. (slight play in the wheel)
6. Exhaust back box isn't great (but the rest of the system is new)
7. Windscreen has signs of delamination as they all do.
8. The Diff leaks.
Don't let this put you off though, these are minor jobs. Remember this car has an impeccable service history, very good bodywork (you will struggle to find better) and a very strong healthy engine, which are usually the most costly things to put right.
Once the work is complete, you will have a very nice looking, mechanically perfect car, that will be worth considerably more than the price I am asking.
In 2009, Paul Matty valued this car at £5750 pounds, marking the cars condition as grade B/A and It's also worth noting what the following parts are worth second hand ...
4 speedline wheels and 4 virtually new Dunlop tyres = £400.
The engine= £1000 (easily)
Jenvey throttle bodies= £400
Interior=£300
Which puts the fair price asked for this lovely car into perspective. I am sure, having viewed a number of these cars, it is clear from the pictures and description that this car is something special.
Do not confuse this car with tatty examples available for similar money.
Available to view at any time, I'm based inbetween Coventry and Leicester.
Feel free to HPI check, it will come back clear on all fronts.
I can be contacted on here and will pass my phone number over to those genuinely interested.
