Flowlock valve alternative

Post by Simpatico »

For all those people with rusty or unreliable flowlock valves, could this be a simpler alternative to the expensive and rare electric originals?

It's just a simple valve, apart from the additional security of being able to wire the original into a switch, would this do?

I don't think that a simple non-return valve would have the same effect Mark. For anyone that isn't familiar with the Flowlock it's there to stop the normally correct flow of fuel fowards to the carbs.when the engine is not running. As I understand things would fitting a non-return valve just prevent fuel returning to the tank, or if fitted the other way around, obstruct the fuel flow to the carbs.permanently ?
