Re: New comer
Aloha. That's a nifty and subtle mod. I'm a big fan of leds and have fitted them wherever I can on my cars. Getting better light output for lower power consumption and eliminating the heat produced by a normal bulb is a win, win, win situation.

Re: New comer
Point of note regarding the LED units on the indicator circuit.
Although fitted with a ballast resistor which results in a nice stable flash rate and brightness for turn indications, I have no hazards - which may be due to the wrong value of ballast resistor.

Re: New comer
Wheels refurbished but poorly done due to breakdown of equipment midway through process - will be re-done FOC in September . But the change in appearance is already WOW

Re: New comer
First Christmas Pressie
Second Pressie
Drill out old retaining rivets
Off
The half bowl is too large for the aperture so off with its head - DONT DO THIS AS RIGIDITY IS LOST. ENLARGE THE POD HOLE! -Lesson learnt!!
Using each of the lower holes of the 2 old right hand fixing points (rh as you look at piccy) - Drill 3 new holes. 2 large ones at 12 and 9 o'clock position to recess the level setting screw bosses and a smaller new one through the plate for a rivet on the left side.
Rivet and build. Voila! If you screw the adjusters in enough, the old bezel can be held in place too between the lens carrier and bowl ring

Re: New comer
Update on fitment process. The fitting ring from the kit used ( from Bolt on bits but standard WIPAC) is pre-drilled in several places. These were found to match perfectly the locations of 3 of the original rivet holes. The only holes drilled were the 4th rivet point and 2 recesses for the adjustment screw boss. All done in 20 minutes a side.

Re: New comer
-5 degrees and no blower fan! Not good with 130 miles to drive. Found a rather nasty looking fuse - 20 amps too! I hope the cause is high resistance corrosion and not the resistor pack. Fuse replaced 4 speed blower back in action.

Re the dimmer/rheostat I'm not 100% sure but I don't think those leds can be dimmed. They are either on or off.
