Rev limiter mounting

Post by amarshall »

I'm missing something I think.

The Parts Manual says there should be 2 screws and 2 nyloc nuts holding the rev. limiter on. I can see the screws, but where are the nuts? I can't see or feel them in the wheel arch.

That sounds more like the AB14 to me Lee.

Answered my own question anyway - mine just had two screws into the body. Nothing seem to have fallen off inside when I removed them.

Now to work out how to fit the Omex limited inside the old Lucas housing. The Omex is just a fraction longer than the Lucas can accommodate without some fettling.

Same wiring, but without any plugs on the ends, so I need to gut the old one to reuse the plug and, ideally, mount the Omex inside it - but in such a way that I can get to it easily to change the limit if I want to.

My original rev limiter also just had two screws - not quite sure what they screw into but seems pretty secure.

I cleaned up the old plug with WD 40 and plugged the wires from the Omex in with spade clips. All working perfectly for several months.

Mark.
