Window to door brush seals

Post by majcd213 »

Hi all, fixing various bits in my door I noticed that the brush seal is detaching from the inner door edge. My car has the early clip-on brush type which doesn't seem to be available any more. I have seen reports here of replacing with the stick-on type (hairy worm?) But I wasn't sure if this was to replace the clipped type or the later type which was stick-on anyway. So has anyone replaced the clipped with the stick-on. What did you use and how successful was it? My brushes are actually in good condition apart from rusted clips so does anyone know a source of clips? Finally if anyone has any bits of old clipped brush seal kicking around but which still have one or two intact clips please pm me as I could probably relieve you of that burden.
Cheers
Mike

Thanks for that - I'll be needing some for the Elite at some point. Let us know if you find any of the brushes themselves!

Glad it helped. Woolies also list brushes for use with these clips 15mm thickness which I think is right for these cars. Window weatherstrip part no 152

I have bought quite a stock of these to make the £4 postage worthwhile so I can let you have them at cost and a much more reasonable postage if you let me know how many you need.
