SE gear knob
Does anyone know where I can find an original gear knob for an 1987 Excel SE?

SJ Sportscars list the Leather Knob and correct SE "Shift pattern" badge. Sure Steve would be happy to advise if correct etc.
(Not cheap at £55/20 plus the dreaded)
Incidentally, I found the leather to stretch & fail on originals - So have liberated a steel bush from the base of an old one, the spline of which can be fitted / stuck into the base of a "traditional" polished wood gear-knob easily obtained and with lotus badging. (Matches seat knobs / dash if not period correct)

thank you Chris, yes SJ's one is like the original.
But it seems a little bit too expensive. :?I think I'll follow your advice for a wooden knob
