I arrive in the UK for a quick visit at the end of May and wanted to try and fit in a car (ideally Lotus) related day on either Sunday 27 th May or Bank Holiday Monday 28 th May .
I have seen 2 options, Ragley Hall on the Sunday which is on my way from Heathrow to Wolverhampton , where I am heading or Ripley Castle on the Monday which is near Harrogate .
If I can only do 1 of the days , which is the best venue where I am likely to see most Lotus cars ?

Where to see Lotus while I'm in the UK?

Re: [MW] Ripley Castle - 28th May.
I'm not sure about Ragley, but Ripley is a local classic car show which doesn't get a lot of Lotus. Normally there's a few Excels, an Elan or two and maybe a Cortina.
OTOH, we'll have a barbecue and a warm welcome for any club members who decide to join us.

I know it's the 26th May (and not the dates you specified) but the Club Lotus day day at Castle Combe will probably have the most Lotus cars you'll ever see in one place

It's usually a great day out, with lots of Excels, as well as almost every other Lotus road car and even some small Lotus race cars.

Ragley Hall I would say, as is the Haunt of Club Lotus and Drivers Clubfor and this event and is usually well supported by Lotus. At least 20 Lotus in just one of these shotsBrisvegas wrote:I arrive in the UK for a quick visit at the end of May and wanted to try and fit in a car (ideally Lotus) related day on either Sunday 27 th May or Bank Holiday Monday 28 th May .

PS dont forget Castle Coombe Lotus track day on the 26th. There will be at least 100 Lotus there.

Re: Where to see Lotus while I'm in the UK?
Unfortunately I didn't do my research too well about Castle Combe and don't land at Heathrow until 8 pm on the Saturday night .
Ragley Hall looks like a plan as it it is en route on the second half of my journey to Wolverhampton .
I am breaking the journey on the Saturday night near High Wycombe as I am flying in from Bangkok.
I will look out for the MLOC guys at Ragley on the Sunday .
Mine seems to be the only Excel in Brisbane now that Jimmy c379 doesn't seem to be active anymore., so I am interested in seeing and hearing another Excel .
Cheers
Mark
