Rear pad Clip.

Post by RED BARON »

I need one Pad Support Plate Clip as the side retainer lugs are not there at one end. ( It's the long one that goes on top of the pad ).

Many thanks if you have one I can have cheap.

Ian.

Might be worth just buying a cheap set of non-oem pads for a Toyota Supra that come with all the clips? I bought a set of rotors that came with free pads and also the clips.

I've only recently realised that my Excel does not have the full pad fitting kit. I tried to buy a full kit from SJ Sportscars who have them listed for 16 quid but they are out of stock at the moment. I've not been able to trace another supply so far- the rattling is pretty irritating.

All the new pads offered for sale that I've seen seem to exclude the fitting kit

I managed to get a rear brake pad top spring clip from Lotusbits for £5 + delivery of £10 + vat a total of £18 didn't care what the cost just glad to get it. Even if it is secondhand it beats the broken one I have.

As for the rear brake pad rear shim you can't get them anywhere, but I managed to clean both up along with the other pad shim bits with a wire brush and then some brake clean fluid.

Are they on yet, can you photograph them so I know what you looking for?

New front brake pad fitting kits are now in stock at SJ Sportscars. Just fitted mine today along with new pads.

These people just delivered me a genuine Gates cambelt to North Yorkshire in 7 days, for £24 inc vat and delivery.
They seem to have lots of Supra brake parts:
