Mr. Winterbottom wrote: Hello Angus,
I know its a fair distance away but I know you have members who attend.
The Hinckley Classic Car Show is on Sunday 16 September 2018.
It has grown to be a major event over the years and a few Lotus will only serve to improve it!
Best regards, Oliver

I am considering having a kiosk at this event and could supply and sign copies of my book”A Life in Car Design” This may be of special interest to Lotus and TVR owners who have vehicles I was involved with.
I WOULD APPRECIATE FEED BACK ON THE LIKELY NUMBERS OF ATTENDEES.

I'm hoping to bring along something that will be of interest to anyone with an Oliver Winterbottom designed car (or derivative!)richardw wrote:I'm going to be there - anyone else?
Richard
The plan is to launch at Hinckley and it will subsequently be made available through the club.
More information to follow when fate is no longer able to be tempted.
It would be great to get a good congregation of Excentrics along, particularly as Oliver himself is going to be there!

Re: Hinckley Classic Car Show 16/Sept/2018
Update - there are now 2 Elites attending, one is mine and one is a yellow S1 I haven't come across before owned by a gentleman called Colin.
We will both be parked in the market square near to Oliver Winterbottom's market stall(!) - assuming we're there early enough!
Looking forward to seeing Oliver, meeting Colin and seeing his car, and to the event itself. I should have my new camera (birthday present in just over a week) up and running by then - and more importantly I aim to have read TFM, so I may even be able to post some half decent photos.
There's still time to book up to come along, I believe, although you won't get on the market square now. It should be a good day if the weather holds.

It's a Fiat that wants to be a sports car when it grows up.

Yeah. It's annoying that even these unloved sons of a B ..Ferrari have rocketed in value ..and that Gordan Murray has reportedly bought one. Why doesn't he buy an Excel? He needs educating a tad.amarshall wrote:It's a Fiat that wants to be a sports car when it grows up.
