Just a heads up this Saturday is the 7th Year of the Castle Combe Classic car race meet, Club Lotus as many have a presence and is good meeting in very informal surroundings

It was in my calendar to go but it's also my last chance this year to infiltrate a local Italian car meet with a Lotus. Could not make any of the earlier meets..

I got there just before the first qualifying session and it looked quite empty (I normally get there early), though it filled up a bit through the morning. I spent most time between the paddock and Quarry and saw several Evoras on the club stands but no other Lotus cars in that stretch (not sure where the Club Lotus gathering was) and a lot of empty spaces which in previous years have been full. The Tavern was packed full of people trying to stay dry and the track was very wet in places, making it tricky for the drivers. Some lovely cars on track and great driving in wet conditions but a thinnish crowd because of the weather.
