The thick plottens.
Idea for the Sunday 19th - visit to an air museum (possibly with some motorsport adjacent) and a photo op. for wedges with a Vulcan (and I don't mean the "live long and prosper" kind), with easy access to the coast for fish and chips on the way home?

Maybe produce a scene something like this?

Brilliant idea with the Vulcan. Have seen the XH558 in action on Goodwood. Boy, what an impressive machine. The sound, the manoeuvres... absolute amazing!

A quick pitstop before I leave for Austria - is it East Fortune in East Lothian?
The Vulcan was the clue, and an excellent idea.

It cuts my horizon of awareness all of a sudden that it will be after your brexit.
I know this is a car forum and politics are not part of it. I also respect that everybody has his very own sight on it. But we all know that the deals do not progress well, so we don't know what will really happen then. Hopefully some brain will fall out of the sky and all will be managed well and in a wise manor.
If so, Don, Lady & Baby.Hasi will keep an eye on this.

I agree Don it is best to keep politics away from this forum. Without trying to say anything political I would like to try to put your mind at rest by saying visitors from Germany, Australia, USA or wherever will still be very welcome in the UK. We are leaving the EU but we are still neighbours.

Agreed - having just visited Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and Austria I was always made to feel very welcome and met some great people. I'm sure we'll also continue to extend a warm hand to visitors to the UK irrespective of the political shenanigans! I hope we get to see you over here Don - you'll have a warm welcome.

Bumping this with more detail - the current plan is as follows:
* Friday 17th May, arrive at hotel (near Edinburgh), buffet to be available from 20:30
* Saturday 18th May - breakfast in hotel, depart for coastal drive round Fife to Lifeboat station for tour and lunch, then on to brewery (yes, we're organising the proverbial) and small collection of racing Lotus.Option for longer drive to complete Fife coast, or return to hotel to recover from excessive food. Return to hotel for dinner with guest speaker (TBC).
* Sunday 19th May - breakfast in hotel, depart for air museum for photos with Vulcan, tour of museum (including Concorde) and lunch, then depart for home or stop-off at nearby coastal location for fish, chips and general nattering before heading home. There's also a motor museum nearby.
Thanks to Brian & Isabel for helping with the Fife bits. I'm negotiating prices with hotel based on about 20 cars. It's not planned to be a particularly child friendly event, this year, so please bear that in mind.

Sounds good. I can confirm we'll be up it. I was told just yesterday that my requested leave, after some argy-bargy, has been granted.

Fair ‘nuff. I appreciate it’s very restrictive making activities child-friendly, and that those of us who use an Excel for toddler transport are few (despite being perfectly designed for the task).
I’ll give it a miss this time, but wish those of you who do attend a fantastic time.
