I'll be there. I'm tempted to book some track time but don't know if this is compatible with populating the stand..........

Current weather forcast is dry with sunny spells & temps of about 19 C.
I plan to get there for about 8:30am for breakfast
As a newbie it will be nice to put names to faces.

Sat Nav says 2 hours but I expect a lot of holiday traffic going down the M5. Will set off at 6 AM. Look forward to seeing everyone.

What a great turnout despite the rather wet and windy conditions.
At one point we had 11 Excels in a row, with another behind. We also spotted some others which did not join our parking zone including 2 other Celebrations. I think around 16 in total. Could have been one more but Alan Morgan had to bring a car with more space to get all the stuff in.
2 Evoras present; one was the Williams demo car seen at Malvern, but one was a customer owned car.
It did prompt some comments about bravery on such a wet day.
In addition to an Evora, Williams also had a 2011 style Elise SC in Aspen White which looked quite interesting.
We also met the gentleman with the yellow interior discussed elsewhere.
Finally enormous thanks to Phil for bringing his gazebo which proved invaluable as the rain poured down.
Challenge for non-attendees - how many Excel owners can you get under Phil's gazebo.

Having missed Malvern I think I was definitely having withdrawal symptoms, so it was great to see so many of the mob at Castle Combe. The Lotus on Track hot laps were great, though I think Phil and Bryan can vouch for the fact that I learnt very little about the quickest way around the circuit. Simon Jones was brilliant when we went round first thing in the wet. I lost count of the times that his Elise let go, and he collected it every time and pushed on. Great skill and a very balanced car. I wish I could drive like that!

Thanks for the pictures Dave. The lettering on the back of your car shows up well.

Hi Jonny, speak to the boys at
http://www.lotusbits.com , they will have the pistons that you are after, certainly suitable new ones or posibly even a good set of second hand, depends what you are after, they will also have all the parts you need to rebuild the engine.
