All forms posted back - including a plan which *just* fits 4 cars and a gazebo onto our allocated space.
Now - we need someone to select the cars.

Re Hotels - the central booking system which operated last year doesn't seem to be available this year. According to late rooms, the IBIS has the best deal on offer - including a discount via LateRooms - though they have no car park.
I've gone for the Holiday Inn via Laterooms - significant discount and very handy for the exhibition calls. By the time parking charges are added to the budget offerings, the price difference is minimal.

Do we make our own arrangements then?

That's probably going to be easiest for payment and confirmations.
Just a quick check - cars for the stand
So far - the only one I think that's confirmed is your Celebration.
I could with at least 2 more (one early narrow body please!) and that will leave us some space for Mike T. too.

Which Holiday Inn? The main one by the airport or the Express at the north of the NEC site?

I've gone for the main one. The difference in price is eaten up by the parking charges for me (and I have a loyalty card which is filling up rapidly at the moment). Unlike some people, I don't have the benefit of a large indoor garage for the duration of the show

I am booked in at the Holiday Inn Thursday thru Saturday nights. Might be scrounging a lift from "my" car park.

Do exhibitors not get some kind of discounted accommodation? Seems a lot of the organisers to ask of people; 4 nights/petrol down & back/extortionate NEC food/probably some of your holiday alowance? All for the glory of showing your car whilst the NEC charge 25 quid a head....

Nope - we do it for love & free access on the press day (+ the setup day with first pick of the autojumble of course).

I have got Thursday and Friday booked off. Will probably catch the train in and out each day. Expect I will still be in possession of the banner and other exhibition stuff so will drive these up on the Thursday. If you are stuck for a car I can show mine but front bumper needs a respray.

I have received our allocation of passes, car park permits etc. now. Helpers & exhbitors, please contact me to arrange distribution of wristbands etc.
As we are next to door 4.6 of Hall 4 our setup time starts at 11 on the Thursday. N.B. under-16's are not permitted in the hall during build-up and breakdown phases (i.e. any time on Thursday and after the show closes on Sunday).
Cars that I think we have available :
alanmoss's Celebration
Brian Swankie's restored first ever (Brian, please can you confirm this?)
Tanz's
We could use at least one more mid-year car if someone would like to show it, or an Eclat or Elite - or even one that's for sale.
4 cars is tight, but I think we can just fit them in.
