Last time I took the Excel on the party boat from Hull, the exhaust was damaged by the ramp. It's quicker & cheaper to go via Dover or Folkestone anyway.

How many lotusus are coming from England?

We'll be going over in our 1980 Essex Elite S2.2, setting out on Friday to stay overnight in Brussels, then Saturday, Sunday and Monday in Holland, coming back on the overnight ferry to Harwich arriving Tues morning. I think that there are two other cars travelling from England, and we are staying in the same hotel in Beekbergen. Should be fun! But there is still time for others to join us.

As far as I know, 3 cars are coming from England. Our Elite will be travelling from Oxford to Dover, then Dunkirk to Brussels on Friday, then to Delden in Holland on Saturday, the event on Sunday, Keukenhof Gardens on Monday, then the overnight ferry from the Hook to arrive in Harwich on Tuesday. Around 1300 km in 5 days. Let's hope for good weather for lots of photographs of all the Dutch, British, German and Belgian cars expected to attend.

ok, after 1250km back at home... and as we know, I was not the one with the longest run to it

here some impressions: it was every km worth. Mr Winterbottom is such kind, funny and honorable person... he and his recitation was alone worth it. To hear all the details of the construction ideas from scratch to massproduction and all the little sidesteps with Colin&Co, really, was great fun.

The meeting itself was also great. Kind persons all around, top locations with good hospitality too, curvy roads and at last, a sunny weather

@amarshall It was a pleasure to meet you and your Mrs, as well as regarding the improvement of guiding without any failures It was great fun to drive behind the mighty white and errr dirty white SE. Hope to see you soon back

I think a few of us would pay for a copy if so.

There should be something in the LCH newsletter - when it arrives, I'll post a copy here.

It was a great weekend - the added bonus for the British delegation was that we were in the same hotel as Oliver for Saturday & Sunday nights - some fascinating insights into Lotus of old, and opinions of the new management, were shared - but none for publication (yet).

I'll put my photos up tomorrow - just got back after dropping Shirley in London.

Bauke and I made some great hi res video material, we´ll post it on youtube somwhere this week. Ill post some links here on the forum.

Very good trip back - especially through the tunnels round Antwerp and a bit of a play near Jabbeke (Lotus competes well with Jaguar We brought the good British weather to the Netherlands and took it back with us
