This is the car I viewed last week, unfortunately it has had a respray many years ago and not a very good one I found a run in the paint and many area's had a poor standard of finish so it really requires another paint job now.
The owner did not know why it was painted back then, by the time you add in the cost of a respray, maybe 3-5k depending on what is found then it is no longer a value for money example.
Shame as I did like the car.

I queried the guy about the Celebration when it first came up on Ebay since even from the photos some things are not right..
Why are the wheels not colour coded? They were repainted but no reason given.
Why is the steering wheel black? He claimed Paul Matty told him it was an option (which it wasn't).
Paul Matty is not known for making mistakes, so I began to have doubts about the provenance. The chap selling it is not the owner.

I am not up to speed yet on the differences between the excel models but it did seem odd that the rear of the car only had one round lotus badge on it and the car has not been cleaned which usually means the dirt is covering up the poor condition of the bodywork
