bonnet... umm no.
rear spoiler, not bad
rear arches... yep
am hoping to keep the bonnet as close to stock profile as i can... (even if i have to subtly blend the whole thing about 2-3 inches higher...

lol, at the moment i am air-ing on the side of not fitting the supercharger and getting a friend of mine to design his own cams, valves, and port/polish the head of the N/A V8 to make something like 500bhp+ through reving the V8 to about 9500rpm instead...
i think that is a better fit to the excel than going the blown route, even if i already have the supercharging kit...
i like screamers, and then i wouldnt have to have the stupid bonnet "buldge"
all comes down to cash, will have to see if i can get my friend to sponsor me some bits and put his tuning company logos on it instead

DO IT !!!
This would fit the earlier idea of the Excel best!

lol, yeah, but if my friend wants paying for his time to port etc V8 Heads would cost about £5000 in labour alone! (probably 50hrs to port the 2 heads properly!)
plus bigger valves circa £500
plus valve seat cutting and lapping £500-600
plus hotter cams £600-800
plus stainless steel liners £1000
plus strip down and rebuild time...
going to be a £10k engine before you blink...

You can buy a brand new ls9 lump with with loads of titanium internals and 530bhp for less than £10k

Makes your decision harder.

not really as i already have the jag lump and supercharger...
plus the LS9 is too heavy, and big...
the jag lump is only 184kgs...
the LS9 is 240kgs! nearly 50% more!
Oz.

Curiouser and curiouser. I was under the impression the ls9 was a lightweight all alloy construction. Oh well....brute Brit power it is then.

It is light weight for a yank tank
The ls9 is 530lbs which I make about 240kgs....
The jag lump is much shorter and more compact. Also full alloy construction, but with the a/c pump and power steering pump removed only 184kgs

or about 25kgs more than the lotus 912!!! I'm sure I have had bigger poo's than 25kgs lol!
Very little weight difference but +300 bhp

Ozzy, if you feel the need to get rid of the supercharger setup, please pm me.
I have a bowler wildcat project with some crazy ideas!
Or i might still see how much boost a standard HC engine will take if i feel short on power when mine is running again!

right, more i think about this the less i want to make it look like a track car...
current thinking:
only real change is SLR style behind front wheel exhaust exit...
