I was thinking that, if they only made 20-odd how come 20% of production seems to be for sale at any one time?
I think an SA will be my next car.

Must say, that one looks immaculate!

'PM' by the way, being... Paul Matty? Must be, I imagine - but for a while there I was thinking 'Hmm, a car brought back from Guernsey by... Private Message?

That would be real Star Trek/Doctor Who stuff!!!!

As the previous owner of K2 EXL, for nearly eighteen years, I can confirm that it has now been sold.

Sincere thank you to those who have been so complimentary about the condition of the car, both in the above postings and elsewhere over the years. Equally sincere apologies for not raising the possibility of a sale on this forum, in the first instance.

The sale came about quite unexpectedly via an unsolicited expression of interest. With my Elan Sprint about to return to the road after thirteen years, I was however anticipating that under use of one, or both, cars may become an issue at some future time, perhaps next year.

At the time of the offer I had no immediate intention of selling. Whilst the original offer was unacceptable, I subsequently offered the car to Paul Matty. I am entirely satisfied with the way in which the car was marketed. Whilst I take no credit, I hope that the sale price achieved may perhaps go a little way towards reinforcing the bench mark for these hugely undervalued models.

Even as a non-owner, I look forward to continuing to read various postings of technical queries, the hunt for elusive parts, and the tales of those who enjoy the cars for the delight that they are. Best wishes and good luck to all those who are keeping faith with Hethel's finest.

NT actually came from New Technology (but is an obvious play on the word Excellent) when I was thinking about uplifting my non SE to include New Technology. I considered fitting ABS as a direct lift from the Esprit system but it either didn't transfer easily or was too expensive. My mechanic, when he stopped laughing, suggested I should just overhaul the brakes I had and stop wasting his time! I also had a Lap Top that I was going to fit into the glove box space to show telemetry information but I went to a custom car show and realised that it was already obsolete (and probably naff anyway)
So I guess NT stands for No Technology which is better than No Taste.
