We'll be arriving at our B&B in Darley Bridge on Friday afternoon.

The Grouse & Claret in Rowsley, just north of Darley Dale would be a decent venue, the only downside being for those of us who enjoy a gargle as it's not within walking/staggering distance of our various billets. And whilst I appreciate the consideration Jerry please forget about trying to find somewhere dog friendly - we can't organise everyone's evening around my pooch  .

We are all leaving from Ashbourne for the run out. Anyone know the exact place we are leaving - post code? Tried to find it on the MLOC web site but just went round in circles. According to my sat nav, Ashbourne is 24 Mins away from The New Bath hotel so will have to start out a little earlier.

Not going - again. On holiday in Cornwall with a big storm blowing in - can't wait. Rain forecast all week.

Looks like they will email the documents out as per previous years.

My plan is to do a recce on the Saturday to make sure we leave enough time. Don’t forget to ask your hotel ( grrrrrrrr) to leave you out coffee etc.

Thanks for that Gerry. Is the parking OK at your hotel? Looked at the web site and there are only 5 places somewhere up the hill. Looks like a very nice hotel.

Won’t know till I get there but sure we’ll be ok. All the reviews for the place are 5* and no negativity re parking.

The assembly point in Ashbourne is the Shawcroft Car Park on Park Road - postcode as given by Jerry.

Location 53.017044 -1.729917 will get you there.

The chap in charge of the parking there drives an Excel Celebration - you may recognise him.

Just looking at where are various hotels are, there is only 0.4 of a mile between Jerry's hotel and the New Bath. Kev is over 4 miles away. Thinking of where we will meet for a meal on Saturday night it would be good to find somewhere on the Derby road between Jerry's hotel and the New Bath (so long as Kev doesn't mind driving) which would be in walking distance. The only place I can see is Riverside Fish Bar unless you can spot somewhere when you are there on Friday or as Gerry suggests, his hotel The Hodgkinsons would be a good solution. Guess being a Saturday night we need to book soon.

The menu at your hotel looks OK Jerry - I'd be happy to walk along from the New Bath -only 10 mins, even after a glass or two!! If they have capacity, do you want to get us booked in if everyone else is OK with that? Don't want to leave it too late.

Pete

Just wondering what Kev and Clare will be doing with the dog?

How many are there of us this year?
