What options for painting and under seal for wheel arches

I've just had my wheels refurbished and would like to tidy up the wheel arches as at the moment they are a mixture of primer, red paint and black under seal.
What do most do? How did they come from the factory?
I'm thinking of using some Gravi Guard (

And then painting over it in body colour (Calypso Red).

personally, i think body coloured inner arches don't look good. the first muddy puddle ruins the look. I usually paint on stone chip paint then matt black paint (or black stone chip paint if you can find some)

I'd recommend black Hammerite Stone Chip Shield which is available in a spray can for around 7 quid

I used, Upol,Graftex. It's a high build stone chip, it's doesn't crack, you can paint over it if you want to and it also has, good sound deadening properties.

Thanks for replies.
I only have a very small compressor which I don't think will power a Shutz gun and from what I can find the gravtex needs this as it does not come in aerosol form. I think the Gravi guard I was considering is the closest available in aerosol.

6PSI is required - is that in your range?

It will be the cfm that may be a problem as it’s only a small 10l tank, but I will check.

I'm selling an Apollo HVLP spray gun/air unit cheaply if you're interested! I used it to spray my Excel chassis some yrs ago and it's not been used since.

Thanks for the offer. At the moment I have absolutely no room in the garage for anything. When I clean it out I plan to reward myself with a decent belt driven compressor capable of running air tools so I can crack on with a few projects I have.
