For the purposes of this thread, Hethal is a point in time and space, so make sure you get the right weekend first! I have just used up any brownie points I may have in the bank to book 29 September out. I plan to do an early start rather than stay over as the roads are likely to be fairly quiet then (particularly the A14 approaching Cambridge) so the journey will be more fun. If you do the same we could rendezvous somewhere for an early coffee & bacon sandwich and complete the journey in convoy.

We're also very pleased to announce that the Lotus Festival will be heading to Hethel this year on the 29th September where we'll be celebrating the Lotus 70th Anniversary, more details to follow!

Sounds great. I'd be up for this too, especially if we were to meet (and stay Friday night?) somewhere further west, then drive in together. I imagine all the accommodation around Hethel will fill up very quickly.

We're thinking of driving up to the Cambridge area on Friday afternoon, staying in a hotel, then doing the last hour in the morning. Probably return via the same hotel on Saturday evening. There don't seem to be a lot of confirmed details about the event yet though, and it's not far away now.

I will be on holiday in Norfolk/Suffolk, so should be able to make it if I can get a pass out for the day!! (This could be expensive - wife+credit card+Norwich shopping centre!! )

I am working in Swindon on the Friday, so would drive up from there, leaving around 4.30ish. So would be interested in joining others at a hotel and driving in together the following morning. But as said, details of the event are a bit sketchy at the moment.
